Sony Canada Charitable Foundation

The Sony Canada Charitable Foundation (SCCF) is a non-profit organization devoted to the betterment of children, the environment and the community. Through funding from Sony of Canada Ltd. and fundraising activities involving employees, dealers, suppliers and customers, the SCCF supports three key charities; the Make A Wish Foundation of Canada, the United Way of Canada and EarthDay and ECOKIDS program. The SCCF also sponsors Jolly Trolley and Entertainment Centre programs as well as provides an employee donation matching program for Sony Canada employees.

Entertainment Centre:
We have placed 11 Entertainment Centres in children's hospitals across Canada, providing support to children during their hospital stays and procedures by helping to alleviate some of the stress and anxiety young patients may be feeling. Each Entertainment Centre unit features a 32" Bravia® LCD TV and Blu-ray Disc™ and DVD players that give children access to the latest movies and in the future, 3-D movies.

Jolly Trolley Program:
In partnership with Rogers Plus, we have provided 40 Jolly Trolley units in 34 hospitals across Canada, to help provide children in hospital a bit of an escape from the clinical environments around them. The portable Jolly Trolley entertainment units are each comprised of a 32" Bravia® LCD TV, a PS3, Blu-ray Disc™ player and the latest in movies and games for children to enjoy.
Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada
The SCCF provides electronic products in support of all electronic-related requests made of the Foundation by children across Canada with life threatening illnesses. Sony has made close to 200 wishes come true for children across Canada.
United Way of Canada
SCCF supports the United Way, by employee fundraising activities and by matching all employee donations, including through a payroll deduction program.
EarthDay and Eco Kids Program
The SCCF supports the environmental education program which promotes participation and student engagement in local environmental initiatives.
