The Waterproof Case or Underwater Housing fogs up inside causing the recorded images to appear foggy and blurry.

If the camera is inserted in the Waterproof case or Underwater Housing while in an environment with high humidity, it is possible any little bit of moisture that was trapped inside will evaporate and cause the Waterproof Case or Underwater Housing to fog up. This typically happens when the camera is taken from one temperature extreme to another, such as moving from a cold, air-conditioned environment to the hot, sunny outdoors.
It is recommended that the AKA-AF1 anti-fog sheet be used to reduce any condensation that might get trapped in the case. If needed, refer to additional information on using the anti-fog sheet.
Here are some other suggestions for how to avoid fogging:
- Insert the camera into the Waterproof Case or Underwater Housing in a dry place with low humidity.
- Insert the camera into the Waterproof Case or Underwater Housing where little change or no difference in temperature occurs.
