White dots or sparkles appear on the TV screen when displaying the menu or playing a DVD.

It has been reported that white, sparkle-like dots may randomly appear on the top of the TV screen when displaying the menu or playing a DVD. The sparkle-like dots do not appear any place other than the top of the screen. The TV will require a software update to resolve this issue. The software update is available in the form of a USB device that can be inserted into the service port on the rear of the TV.
