Adjust Picture Setting on an LCD TV

    You can adjust the following picture settings on your TV to help enhance your viewing experience. Follow the steps below to access the TV menu:

    1. On the supplied TV remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select System Settings.
    4. Select Picture.

    The availability of these functions depend on the model of your TV. Check your manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

    Setting items

    Picture Mode Set a picture mode.
    Reset Reset all Picture settings except Picture Mode and Intelligent Picture Plus to the default settings.

    Brighten or darken the picture.

    Adjust fineness and noise for a realistic picture.
    Resolution: Adjust fineness and clarity. Select Manual from Reality Creation to adjust the Resolution.

    Mastered in 4K

    Optimize picture quality for Blu-ray Disc™ media mastered in 4K. Applies to 1080/24p signals only.
    Noise Reduction Reduce the picture noise (grainy picture) in a weak broadcast signal.
    Random noise reduction

    Reduce repetitive random noise.
    MPEG Noise Reduction

    Reduce the picture noise in MPEG-compressed video.
    Digital noise reduction

    Reduce video compression noise.
    Motionflow

    Refine moving images.
    CineMotion/Cinema Drive/Film mode

    Provide improved picture movement when playing BD (Blu-ray Disc), DVD, or VCR images taken on film. Select Auto to reproduce original film-based content as is.

    Note: If the image contains irregular signals or too much noise, CineMotion/Cinema Drive/Film mode is automatically turned off even if Auto is selected.

    Advanced Settings

    Set detailed Picture settings such as Gamma or Live Color.
    Intelligent Picture Plus Set-up

    Intelligent Picture Plus: Enhance picture quality according to preferred settings, channel, or video input.

    Signal Level Indicator: When On is selected, the signal level bar is displayed when you select an analogue channel or video input.

    Picture Optimization: Allow you to enhance the picture to your preferred settings.
