This may occur in the following situations:
The touch sensor on the headphones was covered unintentionally (for Truly Wireless headphones with touch sensors)
You can disable the touch sensor when None Assigned is selected in the Sony | Headphones Connect app on your mobile device.
Adaptive Sound Control is set to On
When the Adaptive Sound Control is set to On, the Headphones Connect app detects your action and adjusts the setting of the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control. The notification sound tells you the moment when the setting changes. If you want to change this setting, follow these steps:
- Open the Sony | Headphones Connect app, and then turn off the Adaptive Sound Control function.
- Adjust the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control manually:
- Turn on the Adaptive Sound Control
- Move the slide bar to select the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control level.
Note: If you have the WF-1000X model, select Noise Canceling or the desired Ambient Sound Control mode in the app.
Notification Tone When Switching is set to On
The notification tone can be disabled in the Sony | Headphones Connect app.
- Open the app, and then tap Adaptive Sound Control to open then menu.
- Tap the slide bar next to Notification Tone When Switching to disable this function.
