TalkBack
The TalkBack function is the screen reader on Android devices. Follow these steps to turn the TalkBack function on or off.
Note: The operation may differ slightly depending on the Android OS version.
Turning the TalkBack function on
- Download voice data.
- Connect the player to the internet via Wi-Fi.
- Swipe the Home screen upwards.
- Tap Settings → Accessibility → Text-to-speech output.
- Next to Preferred engine, tap the Settings (gear) icon, then tap install voice data.
- Select your preferred language.
- Turn TalkBack on.
- Swipe the Home screen upwards.
- Tap Settings → Accessibility → TalkBack → Use service, and then tap OK in the displayed dialog.
Turning the TalkBack function off
- Swipe the Home screen upwards.
- Tap Settings → Accessibility → TalkBack → Use service, and then tap OK in the displayed dialog.
Tactile dots
There are tactile dots on the play/pause button and the + (volume) button. The tactile dots can help you operate the buttons without looking at them.
Hold switch
You can lock the operating buttons on the player to prevent accidental button operations.
When the HOLD function is enabled, you cannot operate the following buttons:
- Playback operating buttons
- +/- (volume) buttons
You can operate the following parts even while you have enabled the HOLD function:
To turn on the HOLD function, slide the HOLD switch upwards.
