Why do I see a split screen when trying to watch 3D content?
Cable and satellite providers may choose to broadcast 3D content in two different formats, side-by-side or over-under. At this time, the TV may not automatically detect the correct 3D view. Select the correct format on the TV menu if you are experiencing a split-picture view. Follow the procedure below to select the appropriate 3D format.
IMPORTANT: First, check your cable set-top box or satellite receiver to make sure that there is a display or the output resolution is 720p or higher. By pressing the Display button on the TV remote control, the output resolution will be shown. If the resolution is 480p/i, change the output resolution from your connected device (cable box or satellite receiver). You may also want to unselect the lower 480i resolution setting to prevent the same problem in the future.
- On the supplied remote, press the Options button.
- Select 3D Menu.
- Select 3D Display and set it to On.
- Select 3D Format.
- Select Side-by-Side. or Over-Under.
NOTES:
- Since each broadcaster can choose either format for broadcasting 3D content, you may have to change this setting in the menu when changing channels.
- If a split image appears and the 3D menu options are not active, this may indicate that a 3D signal is no longer being broadcast. Make sure that the TV has been properly set up to view 3D programming and if the problem continues contact the service provider.
