A CD-R or CD-RW recorded on one device does not play on other CD-compatible equipment.

Due to changes in formatting for both CD products and CD media, there is a possibility that there may be a difference in timing between the device that the CD-R or CD-RW was recorded on and the playback device. Follow these steps to try to resolve this issue.

1. Make sure that the playback CD player is capable of playing recorded CD media and can play the type of CD-R media you want to play. Refer to the instruction manual or the product manufacturer of the CD player for CD media specifications.

   NOTES:

   • Some CD players are designed to only playback commercially-produced CDs.
   • Depending on the type of recordable CD media that you are using (such as CD-R or CD-RW discs), not all CD players will support the playback of the different types or recordable discs available.
2. Depending on the specifications of your CD player, if the CD is not finalized, the device may not recognize the disc. It may be necessary to go back and finalize the disc.
3. Some discs work better when played at the slowest speed or the fastest speed. Set the CD device to the slowest speed setting or the fastest setting to see if the disc will play.
4. Verify whether the disc was written in CD-DA format. If the disc media contains recordings of .WAV files added to the disc in CD-ROM format, you may experience difficulty in getting that disc to playback.

If the issue is still unresolved, service may be required.  Go to Product Repair.
