When the power zoom of the E 16 - 50 mm F 3.5 - 5.6 OSS (SELP1650) lens is operated while shooting movies, the sound of the lens and the camera in operation is recorded.
IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.
As part of the normal operation, the sound of the lens and camera operation may be recorded when the power zoom is used while shooting movies.
Using the zooming lever to zoom may reduce the sound that is recorded.
When using the zooming lever, place your finger lightly on the lever and do not flick the lever quickly.
NOTE: On certain cameras it is possible to connect an external microphone. By using an external microphone it is possible to minimize the amount of operation sound from the camera to be recorded, for example if the microphone is placed at some distance from the camera.
