How to uninstall the PlayMemories Home software

    To uninstall the PlayMemories Home™ software, follow the steps below.

    Notes:

    • This article pertains to models that are compatible with the PlayMemories Home software. To know whether your camera is compatible with PlayMemories Home software, check the specifications or supplied operations guide. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
    • Uninstalling the PlayMemories Home software will not delete the images saved on the computer.
    • End all running applications before uninstalling the PlayMemories Home software.
    • Uninstalling will not work if the PlayMemories Home software and other related apps are running.

    For Microsoft® Windows® operating system

    • Windows® 10 operating system

      1. Move the mouse cursor to the bottom left corner of the screen and right-click the Start menu button.
      2. Click Control Panel from the displayed list.
      3. Click Programs and Features or Uninstall a program.
      4. Right-click PlayMemories Home.
      5. Click Uninstall.
      6. Click OK.

    • Windows® 8.1 operating system

      1. Right-click the PlayMemories Home icon displayed on the start window.
      2. Click Uninstall from the displayed list.
      3. Select PlayMemories Home from the Uninstall or change a program list.
      4. Click Uninstall.
      5. Click OK.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation.

      Notes: :

    For Apple® Mac OS®

    1. On the Taskbar, select Go.
    2. Click Applications.
    3. Drag PlayMemories Home from the Applications folder and drop it into the Trash icon.

    4. Empty the trash to permanently erase PlayMemories Home:
      1. Select Finder.
      2. In the Finder menu, select Empty Trash.
