The CD or DVD disc will not fit over the center spoke of the CD or DVD drive tray.

All Sony products that contain a CD or DVD drive can accommodate any industry standard CD and DVD disc. There are, however, different types of CD and DVD drive trays. One type of CD/DVD drive tray has a center spoke with 3 ball bearings that slip back and forth to allow the CD or DVD disc to be locked into place. A disc cannot just be placed on this type tray but requires that a small amount of pressure be applied to the center of the disc until it clicks securely onto place.
