There is no sound from the portable speaker when connected to the AUDIO IN port.

The portable speaker may not produce sound when connected to the AUDIO IN port when you turn off the speaker and turn it on again while its input level is low. When this happens, slowly increase the volume of the playback device. A threshold value is set to prevent the portable speaker from producing a loud sound abruptly. When turned on for the first time or after the speaker has been turned off, the portable speaker does not work unless a certain level of audio is input.
