Video playback on 4K streaming apps may be choppy, skip, or audio cuts (BRAVIA 3 (S30))

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

If you're experiencing choppy video playback, skipping, or brief audio dropouts when streaming 4K content (e.g., on YouTube™ TV, DirecTV®, etc.), try the following steps:

    1. Check Network bandwidth:
      • Verify that your network speed can handle 4K streaming. If your connection is not optimized, some applications allow you to reduce the video resolution. If needed, choose 1080p instead of 4K/UHD.
    2. Disable features that may affect streaming:
      1. Turn off Google Assistant Voice Control:
        • Turn off the hardware microphone (MIC) at the TV's bottom center.
        • Go to Settings, select Accounts & sign-in → your account → Google AssistantHands-free Mic, and turn it OFF.
      2. Disconnect Bluetooth® Devices: turn off any connected Bluetooth speakers or headphones.
