As with many devices, regularly restarting your TV will help you avoid minor issues. Restarting the TV can clear up leftover data from uninstalled apps, restart crashed applications, clear memory, and doesn't erase customer settings. A factory data reset clears out all customer settings and sets the TV to factory specifications. A forced factory data reset is the last option available, is used when the remote can't access the TV, and also clears all customer settings.
