Guide to using Amazon Alexa with wireless headphones

You can use the Amazon Alexa™ app to do things like play music or check news and information that you are interested in without operating your smartphone directly. Just push the button on your headphones and talk to Alexa. It's that easy!
Before you start
- Update the software of your wireless headphones.
Downloads are posted on your model support page.
- Version 4.2.0 or higher for WF-1000X, and WH-CH700N
- Version 4.1.1 or higher for WI-1000X, WH-1000XM2, and WH-1000XM3
- Version 4.2.0 or higher for WH-H900N, WF-SP700N, WI-SP600N, and WI-C600N
- Install the latest version of the Headphones Connect app:

Add your device to the Amazon Alexa app
Follow these steps to add your headphones to the Amazon Alexa app:
- Turn on your headphones and pair them to your mobile device using Bluetooth® function.
- Open the Amazon Alexa app.
- Tap the menu in the upper left corner, and then tap Add Device.
- At the What type of device are you setting up? screen, select Headphones.
- At the Select your device screen, under AVAILABLE DEVICES, select the model number of your headphones.
- On an iOS mobile device, the headphone model name starts with LE_.
- Unpaired headphones won't show up in the AVAILABLE DEVICES list.
- Tap CONTINUE.
- At the Bluetooth Pairing Request notification, tap Pair.
- At the This will override the current voice assistant screen, select CONTINUE.
- At the Setup Complete screen, tap DONE.
How to use Amazon Alexa with your headphones
- Turn on your headphones and pair them to your mobile device using Bluetooth.
- Open the Amazon Alexa app.
- Open the Sony | Headphones Connect app.
- Under Change function of [NC/AMBIENT] button, tap Amazon Alexa to change the function of the headphone button.
- Briefly press the NC/AMBIENT button on your headphones and then speak your voice command.

- If you want to cancel the Alexa voice input, press the NC/AMBIENT button again.
- If you don't talk for a certain period of time, Alexa voice input is automatically canceled.
