How to check the Bluetooth codec being used for device connections, such as smartphones

You can use the Sony | Sound Connect (formerly Sony | Headphones Connect) app to check your smartphone's Bluetooth codec. Check the codec display beneath the model name on the Sony | Sound Connect Dashboard.

- The following codecs can be supported for music playback with an A2DP connection: SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC, etc. For details on which codecs are supported, refer to your model Help Guide. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
