Can't adjust the headphone volume (WF-C700N)

    Follow these steps to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. The volume adjustment method depends on whether you set the headphone's button function assignment to the Volume Control. You can check the button function settings on the Sony | Headphones Connect app. See the System tabChange the button function menu.
      Note: The headphone's firmware version must be Ver. 2.0.0 or later.
      • If the button function is assigned to the Volume Control:
        • To increase the volume: Press the assigned Volume Control button once. The volume increases by one level.
        • To decrease the volume: Press and hold the assigned Volume Control button until the volume is adjusted to the appropriate level.
      • If the button function has not been assigned to the Volume Control
        • To increase the volume: Press the R (Right) unit button 4 times or more.
        • To decrease the volume: Press the L (Left) unit button 4 times or more.
      The volume can be adjusted
      You can use the earbuds to adjust the volume.
      The volume can't be adjusted
      Go to the next step.
    2. Use the Sony | Headphones Connect app to adjust the volume.
      To adjust the volume using the Sony | Headphones Connect app, move the slide bar next to the speaker icon in the Status tab.
      The volume can be adjusted
      You can use the Sony | Headphones Connect app to adjust the volume.
      The volume can't be adjusted
      Go to the next step.
    3. Adjust the volume on the connected device.
      For details, refer to the device manual or support site.
      Note: Depending on the connected device, the volume may not sync with the headphones. If you can't get the desired volume by adjusting the headphones or device volume only, adjust the volume on both devices.

      You may need to adjust the volume on the device in some situations.
      The volume can't be adjusted
      Go to the next step.
    4. If the app has the volume settings, try adjusting the volume using those settings.
      The volume can be adjusted
      The issue may have been caused by the app settings.
      The volume can't be adjusted
      Go to the next step.
    5. Reset the earbuds.

    6. Initialize the earbuds.
      Note: Initialization returns the earbuds to the factory settings, and all Bluetooth® pairing information is deleted.
