An error occurs when trying to burn a CD / DVD disc.
When trying to burn or write to a CD or DVD disc, a blank disc may not be recognized or one of the following errors may occur:
- Power Calibration Error
- illegal medium
- invalid disc
These issues may be caused by incompatible media. Verify the discs you are using are on the media compatibility list.
NOTE: Although the media compatibility list refers to a DRX-S70U-W optical drive, it can be used for the VAIO optical drive VGPUDRW1.
The issues also may be resolved by burning at lower speeds. Refer to the helps files of your burning software for instructions about how to lower the write speed.
