How to run hardware diagnostics using the VAIOCare utility.
The VAIO Care™ utility includes a hardware diagnostics utility that can be used to perform various tests to ensure the computer is working properly and diagnose hardware issues when they occur. The utility allows you to perform tests on hardware components, such as processor (CPU), memory (RAM), video adapter, hard disk drive (HDD), optical drive (CD/DVD/BD), network adapter (LAN), USB, and Sony Memory Stick® controller.
