How to eject a CD being used by the Adaptec DirectCD software.

NOTE: The DirectCD® software locks the CDRW tray to prevent premature removal of the CD before data has finished recording onto the disc. This is a feature to ensure that data is not corrupted and that the disc is not damaged.

1. On the right side of the taskbar, double-click the Adaptec DirectCD Wizard icon.

   NOTE: If the Adaptec DirectCD Wizard icon is not present on the right side of the taskbar, click the Start button, point to Programs, point to Adaptec DirectCD and click on DirectCD Wizard.

2. In the Welcome window, click the Next button.
3. In the Drive Information window, click to select the appropriate drive and then click the Next button.
4. In the Eject Disc window, click the Finish button.
