How to remove and reinstall the keyboard driver.

    IMPORTANT: This procedure must be performed while logged in as Administrator or to an account with Administrator rights.

    1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
    2. In the Control Panel window, under Pick a category, double-click the Performance and Maintenance icon.
    3. In the Performance and Maintenance window, under or pick a Control Panel icon, double-click the System icon.
    4. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab.
    5. On the Hardware tab, in the Device Manager box, click the Device Manager button.
    6. In the Device Manager window, double-click Keyboards.
    7. Under the Keyboards category, click to select Standard 101/102 keyboard or Microsoft Natural keyboard..
    8. On the menu bar, click the Action button and then click Uninstall.
    9. In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the OK button.
    10. In the System Settings Change window, click the Yes button to restart the computer.

      NOTE: The computer will restart and install the necessary drivers for the keyboard.

    11. In the System Settings Change window, click the Yes button to restart the computer.

      NOTE: The computer may need to restart more than once after loading the appropriate drivers.
