Can't pair Bluetooth devices to my Android TV
Check if you can pair your Bluetooth® device to your Android TV™ after you perform each step.
- Restart or power reset the TV:
- Restart the TV with the supplied remote control (easiest):
- Press and hold the POWER button until a menu appears → select Restart
- Press and hold the POWER button until Power off appears on the screen
- Restart using the menu. On the remote:
- Press (Quick Settings) → Settings → System → Restart → Restart
- Press HOME → navigate to Settings → About → Restart → Restart
- Press HOME → navigate to Settings → Device Preferences → About → Restart → Restart
- Power reset - if your power cord is accessible:
- Turn off the TV → Unplug the power cord for two minutes → Turn on the TV
- Restart the TV with the supplied remote control (easiest):
- Make sure that your TV has the latest firmware update. Downloads are posted on your model support page.
- Check the following according to the connected device:
- Voice remote control / Touchpad remote controls
- Audio devices (Bluetooth headphones, speakers, and soundbars)
- TVs released in 2016 and earlier don't support Bluetooth connections with audio devices. For more details on compatible models, check the Can I use Bluetooth headphones and soundbars with my Android TV article.
- If your TV supports it, only one Bluetooth audio device can be connected to the TV at a time. However, it is possible to connect Bluetooth devices other than the Bluetooth audio device at the same time.

- Mouse or keyboard
- Mobile devices
- Mobile devices (smartphones or tablets) can't be connected through Bluetooth. For details about another way to connect mobile devices, refer to the Play content from a mobile device on the TV article.
- Make sure that your Bluetooth device is fully charged.
- If you have a KD XxxC or XBR XxxC series model, the connection or pairing may fail when connecting four or more Bluetooth devices to the TV.
- Turn off any Bluetooth devices you are not using, and then connect the desired Bluetooth device again.
- Move away devices and electronic appliances, like microwaves or smartphones, to avoid interference.
- Bluetooth devices use a 2.4 GHz band, and communication speed may degrade due to wireless interferences.
- The TV or device may not work on a metal rack due to wireless communication interference.
- On the TV, turn the Bluetooth setting off and on again.
- Open the Settings screen depending on your TV:
- If the remote control has a Quick Settings button: press the Quick Settings button and select Settings.
- If the remote control doesn't have a Quick Settings button: press the HOME button and select Settings.
- Open Bluetooth settings depending on your TV:
- Select Remotes & Accessories → Bluetooth settings → Bluetooth.
- Select Bluetooth settings → Bluetooth.
- Turn Bluetooth off, then turn it back on.
- Open the Settings screen depending on your TV:
If the issue still occurs, perform a factory data reset.
