Do Google TV and Android TV support the use of USB or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse accessories?
You can connect a USB or Bluetooth® keyboard and mouse to an Android TV™ device. However, the operation isn't guaranteed. We tested some keyboards and mice and found they were compatible, but not all supported functions.
- USB keyboard and mouse:
Our Google TV™s and Android TV™s can recognize most USB keyboard and mouse accessories. However, some functions may operate differently than initially intended. For example, the left-click function on a standard mouse will work, but right-clicking or trying to use the scroll wheel will not. - Bluetooth keyboard and mouse:
We don't have any Bluetooth keyboards and mouse accessories officially tested and confirmed to be operational. However, our Google and Android TVs can generally recognize most Bluetooth keyboards and mice. Some functions may operate differently than initially intended.
Note: When the Auto clock display setting is On (always), the mouse pointer can move, but mouse clicks may not work. Mouse click might be enabled by turning off the Auto clock display setting using the following steps:
- On the remote control, press the Quick Settings (spanner or gear) button.
- Select Settings → System → Date & Time → Auto clock display → On (always) to Off.
